MovieLumiCS
Your new still camera does great photos and cool videos (HD: 720p AVCHD)…
But these videos are not compliant with QuickTime or iMovie.
MovieLumiCS is especially designed for them.
Use your videos on Mac: easily, promptly and without quality lose.

Question : MovieLumiCS's converted files do not always have the accurate date. Why could they have a different date than when I shooted the video?

Answer : Videos produced by your still camera, do not contain the date when the video was taken. This information is only on the SD memory card (in an other file than your video file). If you kept the structure of the card (if you copied the entire map to your hard drive), MovieLumiCS will pick the date and pass it on to your video. Without this information, only the creation date of your file will be used (this date is less accurate …but it's the only one available).

Question : Why MovieLumiCS only handles videos from my still camera (and not videos from my camcorder too)?

Answer : to make a truly easy-to-use and ergonomic software, you could not propose too many features. If you need some more complete software, try MovieConverter-Studio.

Question : Does MovieLumiCS manages video produced by still cameras like Nikon D90 or Canon?

Answer : Partially… but it's up to you that the software fully handles them in a future version.
These devices shoot at 24 frames per second, a not-always practical "format", to edit and broadcast.

With these videos, the only one not fuly-handled output format, is the editing output. Depending on your editing software and the country where you live, your needs will be different… (and I can not presume about them).

So please contact me, by giving informations about:

  • the editing software you use (to determine compatibility with this format),
  • Your country (to determine the norm of your "standard television"),
  • how you intend to use these videos (editing, iPhone, etc).

As soon as I get feebacks enough (and therefore visibility on the purpose you expect), a MovieLumiCS's update will handles them.

And send in your other questions
(…and I will see how to fill it in future ;-))
